Hello to all,
Lest you think we’ve been idle…
The dates for the autumn term are now on the website, under the ‘Calendar’ tab. We’re off to a slightly slow start, because there was a conflict for use of the church, but nonetheless, we’ve got seven (count ’em, 7!) meetings this term.
Bending to pressure from lots of you, we’re putting up our fees a little. We do prefer subscription payments, if possible, and for the term, that will be £70. Drop-in by session will now go up to £12. We’ll try to bring change, but we’ll always take BACS payments if it’s easier.
And some pdfs of new sheet music is on the site, (audio not yet, will follow soon): in the Rounds department, there’s a Schubert round called ‘Be Welcome,’ a wordless round (any budding wordsmiths?) by Antonio Caldara, and one on the Three Rounds sheet we’ve not done yet, a Hebrew round called Hava nashira.
There are 3 new pieces we’ll be working on: Here, There, & Everywhere by you-know-who, an Ave Verum Corpus by Josquin des Prez, and a Howard Goodall choral setting of psalm 23, The Lord is my Shepherd.
And of course, we’ll regularly revisit our old hits, so get that printer revved up and your binder in order for September! Below is a complete list for you to have– pretty impressive, we think…
